Also known as bridewort, meadowsweet is native to Europe but also found in North America. Meadowsweet is a detoxifying herb that can work to relieve stomach and joint pain. Clef des Champs organic Meadowsweet tonic is traditionally used to help with heartburn, stomach ulcers, colds, joint pain, arthritis, and gout. Meadowsweet has been historically used to treat complaints of the joints and muscles. The herb contains salicylates, chemicals related to aspirin, that may account for its ability to relieve osteoarthritis pain.
